Harold Vincent "Snooky" Adams

AGE: 79 • Hillsborough

Harold Vincent "Snooky" Adams passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 8, 1934 and grew up in Stirling, NJ and settled in Hillsborough in 1982. He graduated from Morristown High School in 1953. He was an outstanding athlete, excelling in football, baseball, and played AA basketball in Stirling. Snooky was known on the gridiron as the "Aerial Ace." He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates for his left-handed pitching prowess. He served in the US Army, 8th Infantry Division in Germany where he was an expert marksman. Snooky was also a volunteer fireman with the Stirling Fire Department. He worked at Thermoplastics Processes Inc. in Stirling for 39 years, retiring in 1993. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his wife Yolanda, his wife of 31 years; his children Leslie Kahn (Bruce), Tracey Passalacqua (Jose), Denise Adams, Jennifer Wolfe (Michael), Juan Paredes (Pam), and Yuri Paredes (Firda), and 8 grandsons.

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 8:30am in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, Hillsborough, followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Cremation will be private. Visiting for family and friends will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 in the funeral home.
