Laurie Anne Parlin, 33, died on Wednesday, August 19, after a 17 month courageous battle against triple negative breast cancer. She was born in Quincy, MA and has lived in Hillsborough for many years. Laurie Ann worked a dispatcher for Kwik Response Towing in Hillsborough. She was a member of Evangel Chapel in Bridgewater. Laurie was a great fan of the Yankees and Somerset Patriots. Laurie loved her son and life with a passion. Her son meant the world to her. When you met Laurie you immediately felt like a friend. She was an amazing woman. She enjoyed going to Stephen's baseball games and was his biggest fan. Steeplechase Cancer Center in Somerville was her safe haven during her valiant fight.
She was predeceased by her father Charles Parlin. Surviving are her son Stephen J Wurst III of Hillsborough, her mom Donna Parlin of Hillsborough, her brother Michael A Parlin and his wife Joann of Little Egg Harbor, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, a niece, 3 nephews and 4 cousins.
A funeral service will be Sunday at 5:30pm in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt. 206, Hillsborough. Visiting for family and friends will be prior from 3pm-5:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray expenses.
