Anne duPre Czarnecki Pendergraph, of Bay Head, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at age 29 of a stroke related to lifelong cardiac complications. Anne was born May 16, 1980 at Community Medical Center in Toms River to John and Doris Czarnecki. She graduated from Bay Head School and Point Pleasant Beach High School. She attended Ocean County College. In 2004, she married Mark Pendergraph and lived in Keene, N.H. Anne loved her nieces and nephew, her beloved dog Max, and singing karaoke. At the time of her death, she was completing certification as a massage therapist at the Cortiva Institute, and hoped to start her own business.
Anne is predeceased by her devoted father, Rev. John Walter Czarnecki II. She is survived by her husband, Mark Pendergraph of Keene, N.H.; her mother, Doris Czarnecki of Bay Head; her sister, Stefka Fanchi, brother-in-law, Jeff Fanchi, and nieces, Isabella and Naomi Fanchi of Lakewood, Colo.; her brother, Jack Czarnecki, sister-in-law Jennifer Czarnecki, nephew Cosmo Czarnecki and nieces, Olivia and Elliette Czarnecki of Littleton, Colo.; and her sister, Felicity Bernard, brother-in-law, Brian Bernard, and niece, Josephine Bernard of Denver, Colo.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at Colonial Funeral Home, Route 88, Brick. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 at Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gregory's Pantry, 804 Bay Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742, would be appreciated.
