MURRAY ELMAN
AGE: 79 TOMS RIVER
Murray Elman, 79, a resident of Toms River, NJ and Delray Beach, FL, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 after a brief illness. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ at 1:00pm.
A graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia with a BS in Journalism, he spent his entire working career with a privately-held company that went thru a series of name changes finally evolving into Bill Communications. Mr. Elman started as an assistant editor, and in a series of promotions became Editor, Publisher, and, upon his retirement in 1989, Publisher Emeritus of the company's Incentive Magazine division. He was a member of the National Premium Sales Executive, an associate of the Incentive Manufacturer Representative Association and the Trading Stamp Institute of America. He was also a founding member of the Incentive Federation. In 1991 he was the recipient of IMRA's prestigious Golden Achievement Award "in recognition and appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the Incentive Industry."
Murray is survived by Marsha, his wife of 53 years; daughter, Karen, and son, Steven; his four grandchildren, Jennifer, Lexy, Nikki and Robert and numerous other family members.
Contributions to a charity of your choice are appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
