Laszlo Pataki, 69, of Dunellen, died on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. He was born and raised in Fehervarcsurgo, Hungary. At the age of fifteen, Laszlo came to the United States and resided in Dunellen for thirty seven years. He served in the US Army and was stationed at various bases around the world. Laszlo was head baker at Merck & Co. in Rahway for twenty three years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of the American Legion in Dunellen and was an avid Mets and Jets Fan. Laszlo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and had a strong love for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Gonzalez) of forty years, his three children and their spouses, Lester and Jennifer Pataki of Allendale, Bobby and Dina Pataki of Brick and Lisa and Craig Mayer of Dunellen, Laszlo's sister, Julie Bakonyi of Hungary and his six beloved grandchildren, Kasey, Hailey, Carter, Anthony, Tyler and Cole.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday; October 18, 2010 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway, followed by a graveside service at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Viewing hours will be on Sunday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen.
