Obituary Condolences

Peter Zolton Karagits, 72, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at home, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Hungry and came to the United States in 1956. He served in the Army in the 101st Airborne and was an Army Ranger. He was the owner of Karagits Construction and was a master mason and skilled carpenter. He coached Old Bridge Boys and Girls Soccer and Madison Park Baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Keller Karagits; their three children, Peter C., Michael, and Suzanne Karagits and her partner, Colleen M. McNamara. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Joseph Karagits, Kirstie, Taylor, Tyler and Tanner McNamara. He also is survived by his mother-in-law, Margaret Keller.
The family has planned a private memorial service. Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, is in charge of arrangements.
