Charles T. Wickham, 70, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, with his family at his side. He was born July 25, 1940 in Newark. He grew up in Keansburg and settled in Hazlet in 1964. He was a retired auto mechanic for M & W Exxon in Hazlet. Charlie was an avid bowler and a member of many bowling leagues.
He was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Helen M. Brennan Wickham; and his sister, Grace Butler; and brother, John Wickham Jr. Charlie is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 48 years, Susan A. Sutton Wickham; his loving son, Michael Wickham and his wife Mary Lynne of Livingston; his dear brother and sister, Michael Wickham and his wife Debra of Hazlet, Helen Brock and her husband Larry of Monroe, N.C., along with his cherished grandchildren, Wolfgang Wickham, Jude Wickham, Mary Lynne Wickham and Michael Wickham II. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, with services at 8 p.m. during visitation hours at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 Highway 35 North, Hazlet. In respect of Charlie's wishes, he will be privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlie would be appreciated to
