John Kubulak, 82, of Perth Amboy, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the Public Service Generating Station, Sewaren for over 40 years as a lab technician. He retired in 1992. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity and formerly of St. Stephen's R.C. Church. A member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Trinity Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Monica (nee Kubala) Kubulak; his brothers, Anton, Joseph and Frank Kubulak; and a sister, Mary Hudak. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor (nee Sivon); a daughter, Karen Kubulak; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Edyta Kubulak; grandfather of Alexa; and his cousins, Eleanor Hospidor, Anthony "Tony" and Edward Kubala.
Visiting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay St., Perth Amboy. We will begin to leave at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27 from the funeral home for a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
