Raymond B. Litzinger

AGE: 76 • Sea Girt

Raymond B. Litzinger, 76, of Sea Girt, NJ died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at his home. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Raymond moved to Bloomfield, NJ in 1971 to raise his family, before most recently moving to Sea Girt. Raymond was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield, NJ. He served in the US Army. He was a very family oriented man who could be found surrounded by his family especially his grandchildren, and his friends. Raymond opened Rays Café in Sea Girt with his son Raymond in 1993, where he liked to socialize with good friends.

Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife, Delores in 1990 and his sister, Joan Litzinger Walsh. Surviving are his children, Cheryl Kurdek and her husband Dennis of Merrimack, NH, Raymond M. Litzinger and his wife Melanie of Sea Girt, NJ, Jennifer Calandra and her husband Keith of Beach Haven Crest, NJ, Jacqueline Henderson and her husband Joseph of Little Falls, NJ, and 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Trevor, Gavin, Keith, Kyle, Kaydee, Sophia, Jake and Julia, and Raymond's dear friend, Paula DeSimone.

Visiting will be Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday, 9:30AM at St. Mark's Church, Sea Girt, burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair, NJ.
