AGE: 85 • Jackson

Felix O. Chiarelli, 85, of Jackson, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012. He was born in Jersey City, NJ and moved to Jackson in 1954, where he and his wife Margaret raised their two sons, Marc and Wayne. He worked for the Coca Cola Company in Kearney and the Continental Can Company, retiring after 36 years. He was also a Special Police Officer and a Dispatcher for Jackson Township and retired after 41 years of service in 2007. Felix served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Hospital Apprentice First Class.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Isabella (Palmitessa) Chiarelli; and his two brothers, Benjamin and Eugene. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Dempsey) Chiarelli of Jackson; his sons, Marc Chiarelli of Jackson and Wayne and his wife, Pamela of Gettysburg, PA; his sister-in-law, Carole Chiarelli of Barnegat, NJ; his three beautiful granddaughters, Jennifer Chiarelli and her fiance, Mike Fillius of Browns Mills, NJ, Megan Chiarelli and her fiance, David Naples of Washington, DC and Kaitlin Chiarelli of Gettysburg, PA; he was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at The George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527 (732)364-6808. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the funeral home. His funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd., Toms River, NJ 08753.
