Regina M. Kelly

AGE: 67 • Montague Twp.

Regina Margaret Kelly, 67, of Montague Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home.

Regina was born December 31, 1944 in High Point, NC, to Edward J. and Agnes M. Kelly. As a toddler, her family moved to Spotswood where she was raised. Regina graduated from St. Mary's High School in South Amboy.  She earned a Bachelors Degree in English and a Masters degree in Outdoor Education/Environmental Science from The College of New Jersey.  She completed her studies to become a PHD candidate at New York University.  Regina was an assistant professor at the New Jersey School of Conservation at Stokes State Forest in Branchville for 40 years until her retirement in December 2010.

Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Denise Kelly of Spotswood, Carolyn Kelly and her husband Philip Hembrough of Point Pleasant Beach and, Rosemary Roberts and her husband Bruce of Windsor, VA; her cherished niece and nephew, Elaine Roberts and her husband Hani Shawwa of Brooklyn, NY and, Matt Roberts and his wife Jessica of San Diego, CA.

We will miss her quick and brilliant mind, her love of nature and the outdoors, and her kindness toward every living creature—both great and small.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM Friday from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, with a 10:15 AM Mass celebrating Regina's life from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. A Committal Service will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Please visit www.spotswoodfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence message for the family in our guest book.
