John A. Hudak of Edison died Saturday, September 29th at his residence. He was 85 years old. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, John had been a resident of Edison for over fifty years. After serving in the United States Army, John worked for the Local 715 Carpenters' Union before retiring in1989. John enjoyed spending time playing poker at the Sands Casino in Atlantic City.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna, his siblings Joe, Mary and Eddie and his loving wife Marie. He is survived by his brother, George of Florida, his son John Hudak and his wife Nancy of Edison, and his daughter Rose Slayben and her husband Jim of Edison. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Marjorie and Amanda Hudak, and James and Nicole Slayben.
Funeral services are being held from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Edison. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in East Brunswick. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
