Anna Summonte Obituary
AGE: 85 • Little Silver
Anna Summonte, 85, a 48 year resident of Little Silver, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank with her family by her side. She attended Red Bank High School. She formerly worked at Eisner's in Red Bank and also did electronic assembly for several companies. Anna stopped working to care for her grandchildren when they were small. She loved her family. Anna was never happier than when she was cooking and listening to Dino and Frank Sinatra. She was a fun-loving woman with a great sense of humor. She was quietly strong and was the stabilizing force of our family. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was cherished by all those who were blessed to know her and will be forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dante; her son, John of Red Bank; daughters, Pat Garriel, and husband, Bill of Florida, and Anita Summonte of Little Silver; sisters, Mary Caprioni of Manchester and Josephine Howe of Toms River; grandchildren, Sean, Patricia, Jennifer, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Ian, Kirsten, Justin, and Riley, and her former daughter-in-law, Karen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, Red Bank. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
