Duane Mary Cleveland Obituary
Duane Mary Cleveland

AGE: 87 • Toms River

On the holy day Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary on Saturday, December 8th, Duane Mary Cleveland peacefully entered into eternal rest at age 87 in her home in Toms River after a brief illness. Originally from Rahway, Mrs. Cleveland lived in Berkeley Township in Toms River for the past twenty years. The daughter of Anthony Kralich and Mary Wilson, Mrs. Cleveland traced her mother's family lineage back to President Woodrow Wilson. She was predeceased by her elder sister Rosetta Duffy and her younger brother Thomas Kralich.

Mrs. Cleveland experienced an interesting lifetime which included world travelling, singing with the Sweet Adeline's International Harmony Chorus, working as a floral designer at Baumann's Florist in Rahway and various occupations with Bell Telephone, Solar and Purolator Filters Corporation. She married decorated U.S. Marine veteran William J. Cleveland with whom she celebrated fifty-one years of marriage. Mr. Cleveland, who died in March 2011, was able to trace back his family lineage to President Grover Cleveland. They were active communicants of their beloved parish St. Mark's R.C. Church in Rahway and then later of St. Maximilian's Church in Toms River. They were devoted to raising their canine children at all their residences in Elizabeth, Rahway and Toms River.

She is survived by her loving care-givers Isabella Yadvish, Marjorie Jannelli and Joseph A. Klenner, her godson Jeffrey Odata and her husband's niece and nephews.

The Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home on 26 Mule Road in Toms River has handled the arrangements which include a viewing on Friday, December 14th from 1 to 3 PM only with a Catholic wake service beginning at 2:30 PM.
