Thora Elaine Dickey
AGE: 85 • Bridgewater
Thora Elaine Dickey, 85, died on December 17, 2012 surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Wilcox, PA on May 10, 1927 to her dear parents Carl and Alma Olander Peterson. Thora was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Raritan for 25 years; enjoyed crafts; sewing (making clothes for dolls for the needy families for Christmas and won a contest for her designs). She was a loving mother, a dear sister, a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother, who was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Thora is survived by her loving children, Carl (Marianna) Dickey of Sweetwater NJ, David (Maria) Dickey of New Fairfield CT, Elayn Knight of Gravette, Arksanas, Donna Dickey and companion Richard Koshar of Bridgewater, Cara (Scott) Staviski of High Bridge; a dear brother, Martin (Sue) Peterson of Arizona; five wonderful grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Carlianna, Sara, Alan; and a great-grandchild, Matthew; and her pet dog, "Tootsie". She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Dickey (9/13/06); and a great-grandchild, Tabetha.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Somerset Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of AAA B Cremation Service, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (1-888-906-9500).
