John Michael Kovacs, 91, of North Fort Myers, Florida, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Florida. He was born October 15, 1921 in Hungary, son of the late John and Magdolna (Muka) Kovacs. He was also predeceased by his wife, Irene (Brennan) Kovacs in 1989 and was also predeceased by a sister, Helen. John was a WWII Veteran with the United States Marine Corps. He was formerly the proud owner of Hilton Command Exposures in Nashua. He enjoyed dancing, sailing, and going to the beach. John was an avid NY Giants fan and will be remembered as always being the life of the party.
Survivors include his loving companion of over 20 years, Janet Richardson of North Fort Myers, FL; three daughters, Kathleen Kovacs of NJ, Mary Hilton and her husband Dennis of Cape Coral, FL, Magdalene Nordt and her husband Dave of Keyport, NJ; three granddaughters, Tara Hilton Meglin, Lynsay Elizabeth Bader, Kaitlyn Bader; two great grandchildren, Anthony Vincent Meglin and Angela Marie Meglin, as well as many dear friends.
Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, January 27th from 4pm-7pm in The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., in Hudson. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 28th at 10am in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Rd., Hudson. All may meet at church. Burial will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
