James "Teg" Tegyi, 64, of Edison, lost his battle with cancer on Jan. 26, 2013, surrounded by his daughters at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Edison for 40 years.
He was a Marine Corp. Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. James was a computer operator for JM Huber Corp. in Edison. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew's RC Church, Edison, member of the Marine Corp. League Central Jersey Leathernecks #868, Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 233, VFW Post 3117 in Edison and the American Legion Fugel Humer Post 65 in Metuchen.
He is predeceased by his wife Grace Tegyi (d.1987). Surviving are his daughter's Jennifer Hearne and her husband Jack of Edison and Jill Aravena and her husband Victor of Edison; his mother Elsie DeAngelis of Edison; 6 grandchildren Scott, Meagan, Taylor, Jennalyn, Kayden, Jake and one sister Alexandra Weyl and her husband Bert of Thousand Oaks, CA.
Funeral Services will take place Jan. 31, 2013 at 8:45am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27) Metuchen (costello-runyon.com) followed by a 9:30am Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's RC Church, Edison. Entombment will be in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Marine Corp.
