John Douglas O'Sage, age 76, of Leonardo, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
John graduated from Leonardo High School and proudly served in the US Navy. He was an enthusiastic member of his affiliations with the Tin Can Sailors National Association of Destroyer Veterans.
He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Atlantic Highlands. John was a founder and active member of both the Catholic Young Adults Club (CYAC) and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of Trenton Diocese.
John was an avid skier anf for years belonged to the Monmouth Ski Club of Pittsford, VT. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, and sailing his boat in Sandy Hook Bay. He worked in the electonics manufacturing industry for several corporations. Prior to his retirement, he was the maintenance manager for St. Agnes Parish in Atlantic Highlands. John was predeceased in death by his parents, John W. O'Sage and Helen V. O'Sage and a niece Carol Isaksen-Prough
He is survived by his twin sister, Joan Halstead and her husband Roger; and his sister, Helen Isaksen and her husband Donald. John is loved and held dear by his nephews, Eric and Chris Halstead and his nieces, Christine Poyner, Clare and Claudia Isaksen.
Family and friends are invited to call at the John P. Condon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. The burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
