AGE: 82 • New Brunswick

Rachel Darlene McNair, 82, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at St Peters University Hospital. She was born in New Brunswick, NJ and resided in New Brunswick. She was employed by E R Squibb & Son, New Brunswick for 27 years before retiring. She was a lifelong member of Mt Zion A.M.E. Church, New Brunswick, where she served as the President of the Pastor Aide, Stewardess Board and Missionary and she was a former member of the Jubilee Choir. A founding member and former President, Chaplin and secretary of the Ebony Surburnites.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Charlotte Seawright; husband, Wille E. McNair; three siblings, John and Charles Seawright and Elizabeth Ransom; three children, Marvin and Carl "Kaliek" and Cecela McNair. Survivors include five children, Michele, Charlotte, of New Brunswick, Minister Bernard McNair (Joann) of Powdersprings, GA, Curtis and Christopher, of New Brunswick; fourteen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; seven siblings, Michael, James and Joseph Seawright, Margaret Rumph, Lois Brewer, Joyce and Beverly Seawright and a host of relatives, two god-daughters, Lisa Thomas and Roxanne Hoagland

Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 9:30am at Mt. Zion AME Church, 23 Morris St., New Brunswick. Viewing will be from 6-8pm on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the church. Burial at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
