Carl Bedrock died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at home. He was 69. Born in Newark, he resided in Perth Amboy before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. Prior to retiring, he was an iron worker for a hall in Perth Amboy, where he worked for most of his life. Mr. Bedrock was an avid Rangers and Yankees fan. He was also a member of the NJ State Federation of Umpires and a softball/baseball official for 10 years.
He was predeceased by his father, Jacob in 1982 and by his brother, Alan in 1970. Surviving is his loving fiancée, Mary Ann DeGorgue; his mother, Rita L Bedrock (nee Palumbo); a brother, Martin Bedrock and his wife Marcia of Knox, IN; 2 sisters: Candace Sussman and her husband Marty of New Castle, DE and Beverly Hartman and her husband Michael of Bradentown, FL; 3 nephews: Marcus (Rachel) & Travis Holliday and Joel Hartman; a niece, Leslie (Ryan) Baker; a great-niece: Ashton Holliday; 4 great-nephews: Jonas & Thomas Holliday, Lucas Hartman and Maxwell Martin Baker.
