George Joseph Williams

AGE: 83 • Howell

George Joseph Williams, 83, of Howell, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at home. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Jersey City until the 1950's. He worked for the NJ Transit Bus Authority as a driver for 35 years. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.

George was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn Kelly Williams in 1995; his beautiful daughter, Jeanne Patton in 2013; and a sister, Helen. He is survived by his son-in-law, Richard Patton of Millstone Twp.; a dear sister, Mary O'Keefe of East Rutherford; two cherished grandchildren and one precious great-granddaughter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and 8:15 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at the funeral home, with a 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Keyport. Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
