John F. Fluks, Jr.

John F. Fluks, Jr., 68, passed away at home, Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Born in South Bound Brook, he resided in Middlesex since 1946. John served with the United States Army reserves before working at National Starch in the Maintenance Dept. in Finderne for 17 years and then the Somerset County ARC for 6 years before recently retiring. He was an avid golfer, a proud member of the Rutgers Golf Association. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather who cherished his grandchildren and a Godfather who will sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his father, John F. Fluks, Sr., sister, Paulina Fluks and his brother-in-law, Gerard Schaeffner. He leaves with great sorrow, his beloved wife of 49 years, Marilyn Papcun Fluks, his loving children, Craig Fluks and wife Joanna of Pennsylvania, Chad Fluks of Middlesex, and Tammy Soricelli and husband Jason of Holland Twp., his cherished grandchildren, Troy, Darian and Julia Fluks and Mia and Kira Soricelli, his caring mother, Odelia Fluks of Middlesex and his caring sisters, Shirley Long and husband John of Georgia, Sophie Metzger and husband Berry of Middlesex, Roberta Schaeffner of Piscataway and Nancy Yannazzno of Middlesex.

Funeral service will begin 10:15 am, Saturday at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Rd., Middlesex followed by a 10:45 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, 600 Harris Ave., Middlesex. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation hours will be held Friday from 2-4 pm & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
