Angelo Russo died on August 12, 2013 at Willow Creek in Somerset at the age of 66 surrounded by those he loved. Angelo was born in Afragola, Naples, Italy on September 18, 1946 to his dear parents Antonio and Giuseppina Castiello. Angelo was a resident of Somerset, NJ at the time of his passing. Angelo was a research scientist and a new product developer for Pfizer in Morris Plains, NJ for 18 years. He was a member of the Italian-American Club of Bound Brook and a member and Past President of the West Point Parents Club. He enjoyed tennis, golf, theatre and the opera. Angelo was a beloved husband and devoted father, a loving brother and dear grandfather, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He was kind, caring and generous, and always put family first and will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he was a special part of.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Scoleri; his dear son, Christopher (Lara) Russo; a dear daughter, Cindy Russo and her partner Jinny Kucek; his two brothers Lorenzo (Irene) Russo, Piscataway and Thomas (Malinda) Russo, Branchburg; his sister Emilia (Michael) DeCicco, Raritan; four grandchildren Sarah Jane (15yrs.), Mia Elizabeth (13yrs.), Anna Sophia (6yrs.), Elyse Morgan (1yrs.) and as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869, (908-725-1887). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Entombment at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway, NJ 08807. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Tribute Program at the
