Peter Mason of Holmdel, NJ passed away on Sept 9th after suffering for the last 10 years from Multiple Myeloma. He is survived by his wife, Beth; his son, Matthew and his wife Jacquelin; grandchildren, Matthew and Alexa; his daughter, Jaclyn Mason Aratari and husband Kevin; his stepdaughter, Ashley Perosi; brother, Mark; sisters, Patty, Paula and their families and his lovable best furry friend Ollie.
Peter Mason was born and raised in Dorchester, MA. He graduated from Boston Latin School and attended Boston College Preparatory.
Peter Mason later in life became a VP of operations for Krausers food stores in New Jersey. He later worked for Foodtown and the A & P, was co-owner of Raritan Meat Market, Mason's Meat Market, and then finally the owner of the Blue Cabbage Market in Atlantic Highlands.
Peter was a fan of classic Rock n Roll. He loved to read, was a big history buff and loved to make everyone laugh with his incredible wit and charm. One of his favorite things to do: kicking back, sipping on a Bushwacker at the Beach Bar in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.
In lieu of flowers the Mason family is asking to please kindly donate to the International Myeloma Foundation or to John Theurer Cancer Center/Hackensack UMC.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown.
