John A. Dietrich III

AGE: 70 • Bound Brook

John A. Dietrich, III, 70, died peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center. Son of the late John W. and Carmella Dietrich, John was born in Somerville and was a lifelong resident of Bound Brook.

He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Earlier in his life he worked for Assante Well Drilling in Martinsville as a well driller; he then went on to be a tool and die maker for Die Form Tube Co. in Hillsborough for 15 years and lastly he worked as a security guard for Somerset Medical Center and Aventis. He was a volunteer for the Bound Brook Rescue Squad for 20 years and America Hose & Engine Co. #2 Fire Department for 6 years in Bound Brook. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kocanowski of Bridgewater; 2 step-sons, Raymond Booth of Bridgewater, David Monteleone of GA; step-daughter, Deb Knitowski of Manville, former wife, Dorothy Nowalsky of Bridgewater; brother, Richard Dietrich and wife Lorraine of Bound Brook; nephew, Richard Dietrich, Jr. and wife Rosanna of Hillsborough, niece, Kelly Pfeiffer and husband Matthew of Mount Olive.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6-9 pm at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral Services will be held 10am at the funeral home on Friday, November 8, 2013. For more information or to sign the online guest book, please visit,
