Mary Lukaszewski

AGE: 90 • Carteret

Mary (Gillie) Lukaszewski passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on Sunday morning, January 19, 2014 at the age of 90. Born in Elizabeth she lived in Carteret since 1954. She was employed by the Elizabethport Banking Company and The Singer Manufacturing Company, both in Elizabeth. After marrying her husband in 1946 she lovingly devoted her life to him and raising their three children. She was predeceased by her parents Bessie and Michael Gillie, her brothers Stephen and Michael Gillie, and sisters Anna Moore, Helen Probus and Jean Zamorski. She is survived by her husband Joseph, sons Raymond of Elk Grove CA, Stephen and his wife Reeny of Rocklin CA and daughter Elaine of North Highlands CA, grandchildren Melanie of Paradise Valley AZ and Darren of Rocklin CA and sister Eleanor Wohll of Linden NJ.

The funeral will be at Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Avenue in Carteret. All are invited to pay their final respects on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 8:30am to 9:30am followed by a mass at 10am at Saint Joseph Church in Carteret. She will be buried in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown NJ.

In lieu of flowers please send any donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation (http://www.alzfdn.org).
