John Sala

AGE: 71 • Manville

John Sala, 71, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Lyons VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ with his loving family by his side. Born in New Brunswick to the late Raniero and Rose (Peruta) Sala, he lived in the Manville area most of his life. John was an avid hunter and fisherman spending much of his time outdoors. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1964, having served aboard the USS Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

John leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years, Carole (Moschak) Sala; son John Sala Jr. and wife Gigi, daughter Darlene Warmke and husband Trent of Manville, and son David Sala and wife Lisa of Coral Springs, Fl. He will be deeply missed by his siblings; Gene Eggemann, Marilyn Garcia, Michael Sala and Rosalie Lekkas. He leaves behind nine grandchildren to cherish his memory; John, Jason, Max, Joel, Tara, Paige, Trent, Michael and Preston, and great-grandchild Rylan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, June 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 18 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by committal words and interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
