Calvin A. Ladd

AGE: 91 • Pittstown, formerly of Toms River

Calvin A. Ladd, 91 of Pittstown NJ, formerly of Toms River passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born October 10, 1923 in Bangor, NY he was the son of the late Irwin and Myrtle (Sturburger) Ladd.

Calvin served in the U.S. Army during WWII , he was awarded the European-African Middle Eastern Service Medal and Good Conduct Medals. He worked and retired from Bell Atlantic.

Calvin married his wife Betty on April 15, 1950 and enjoyed fifty-eight years of marriage until her passing in 2009. Together they lived in Newark and Maplewood NJ and upon retiring they moved to Tobyhanna, PA and finally to Toms River, NJ.

He was a wonderful loving and kind husband, father, friend and grandfather. He touched the lives of many with his generosity, love and friendship.

Surviving are his daughters Elizabeth A. Dubois, Karen M. Garafano, Susan C. McHugh and Cynthia F. Kedzersla. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday February 10, 2015 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm at the conclusion of the visitation at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Internment will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hunterdon Hospice in Calvin's name.
