Michael Alicea Obituary

Michael Joseph Alicea

AGE: 24 • Howell

Michael Joseph Alicea, 24, passed away on April 29, 2015 at his home in Howell. Born in Point Pleasant he was a lifelong Howell resident, graduating Howell High School in 2008. Michael was a good student and a good friend; he wrestled for Howell High School, and loved his teammates and wonderful coaches. Michael also worked as a life guard during high school. He attended Brookdale Community College before working full time in construction. Michael traveled in the U.S. and Europe with family. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and at his Aunt and Uncle's house in the "Woods" on the lake, as a young boy, as well as spending quality time with his family and friends. Michael was considered a valued employee, as he was a very hard worker; a good cook, an excellent writer, a bit of a comedian; he loved to read. To know him was to love him. Michael was an Apprentice Marble Mechanic in Union Local 7- Tile, Marble, Terrazzo, B.A.C. of New York/New Jersey and was most recently employed by Port Morris Tile and Marble Bronx, NY. He was very grateful and extremely proud to be a part of this Union.

Surviving are his beloved parents, Michael and Regina Cetola Alicea, his loving brothers, Anthony and Joseph Alicea, and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and his beloved cats Sunshine and Sandy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. William the Abbot R.C. Church, 2740 Lakewood-Allenwood Road, Howell.
