Christopher Perricone, 35, passed away suddenly on February 14, 2016 at his home in Ocean Grove. Chris was born in Fredericksburg, VA on March 4, 1980. Growing up in Wall Township, Chris graduated from Wall High School and attended Old Dominion University, graduating with his degree in Law and Society from American University in Washington, D.C. Most recently he had been accepted into Monmouth University to pursue his master's degree in Social Work / Public Administration. He became an activist, academic and a great writer of words. Chris was an avid surfer and thoroughly enjoyed anything having to do with beaches of the Jersey Shore and Florida, where he resided for 8 years, moving back to New Jersey in 2013. His love of the ocean and sense of adventure took him surfing around the world in search of the freedom and joy only surfers know. All who knew him appreciated his intelligence and wit along with his ability to argue a point whether he agreed or not. Chris was always generous and giving of his time to volunteer at community charitable organizations. As a youngster Chris bicycled hundreds of miles to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital raising over $20,000 in his effort. To honor this his name is included on the St. Jude Wall of Fame in Memphis, TN. As a life time lover of animals Chris helped his parents recently to formally establish the pet therapy program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Chris is survived by his parents, Marilyn and Phil Perricone of Wall, his brother Robert Imparato and wife Rita, two lovely nieces Madison and Ainsley of Grand Cayman and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cremation will be private. A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 27 from 3-7pm with a funeral service at 6:30 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation Pet therapy Program, 1345 Campus Parkway, Wall, NJ 07753 in his memory would be greatly appreciated.
