Sylvia E. Knapp, 81, of Cissna Park passed away April 8, 2014 at ASTA Care Center of Ford County in Paxton.

Sylvia was born Sept. 22, 1932 in Cissna Park, the daughter of Clarence and Naomi Young Knapp and they preceded her in death along with one sister, Arlene Knapp. She married Lynn W. Knapp on May 8, 1955 in Cissna Park and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Melinda (Larry) Gramm, of Bremen, Ind., and Darlene (Bill) Medler, of Hoopeston; three brothers: Wesley Knapp, of Cissna Park, Norman Knapp, of Watseka, and Aaron Knapp, of Rankin; three sisters: Marquerite Beckman, of Arizona, Lucille Knapp, of Cissna Park, and Marilyn Knapp, of Cissna Park; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Knapp was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking and treasured her three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Cissna Park.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park, ASTA Care Center of Ford County in Paxton or Harbor Light Hospice of Decatur.
