LETART — Grace Carmen Ball, 92, of Letart, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Evans, a daughter of the late Samuel Given and Arkie (Flowers) King.
Her husband, Hancel Edison Ball Sr.; daughter Linda Jane Bumgarner; granddaughter Julie Ann Ball; brothers Samuel King, Blaine King and James "Jump" King; and sisters Mabel Bush and Mona Stone, all preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include her son Hancel Edison "Eddie" Ball Jr. and his wife, Judith Ann, of Owings Mills, Md.; brother Wayne King and his wife, Alberta, of Cleveland, Tenn.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Service will be noon Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Casto Funeral Home chapel in Evans with the Rev. Brian Groves, pastor of Church of God of Prophecy in Sand Fork, officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens in Cottageville.
