NEW HAVEN — Luella E. Wood, New Haven, passed away at Pleasant Valley Hospital on Saturday afternoon April 14, 2018.
Luella is survived by two sons, Russell (Rhonda) and Donnie (Bonnie Gilbert); grandson, Ryan Wood (Tracy); granddaughter, Raeni Young; great-grandchildren, Alex, Bret, and Matt. She is also survived by a brother, Glenn McMillin (Della),a brother-in-law, Bill Wood (Barbara), sister-in-law, Becky Wood (Paul),and cousins, nieces ],and nephews.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband Donald and granddaughter Chelsea. She was also preceded in death by her parents Russell and Flora McMillin; sisters, Lena Ord (Dick), Eileen Bonecutter, and Grace Anna Lee McMillin.
Luella was born Jan. 16, 1927 in Hartford. Luella was 91 years old and lived a long and happy life, and will deeply missed by all of her many friends and family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18 at the Anderson Funeral Home, New Haven conducted by John Willbur and Carelton Schoooley. Viewing will be from noon-2 p.m. preceding the service. Pall Bearers are Ryan Wood, Bret Fetty, Matt Wood, Dickie Ord, Glenn McMillin Jr, and Mike Roach.
