MORGAN CENTER — Donald Edward George, 60, Morgan Center Community, passed away at 10:05 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, at the home of his sister, Donna McFarland. Born August 9, 1953, in Gallia County he was the son of the late Wendell M. and Nina V. Rothgeb George. He was a truck driver and farmer and was a member of the Morgan Center Holiness Church.
Surviving is his sisters, Mary Ellen (Dale) Schoolcraft, Albany, Ohio, Lenna Mae Durham, Vinton, Barbara Jean Schoolcraft, Vinton, Donna Marie McFarland, Bidwell, Nina Charlene (Robert) Manley, Bidwell, Brenda Ann (Mike) Baird, Gallipolis and Patty Ann McGuire, Gallipolis; brothers, Richard (Debbie) George, Bidwell, Merrill L. (Donna) George, Vinton and Elmer George, Gallipolis; a special nephew and niece who were caregivers to Donald, Willie and Trish McFarland; and special friend and caregiver, Randy Green. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie McGraw and a brother, Arthur William George.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in the Morgan Center Holiness Church. Pastor Ted Russell will officiate. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery near Vinton. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Cremeens Funeral Chapel.
