MASON — Virginia Jane (Johnson) Tucker, 77, of Mason, W.Va., passed away April 15, 2018, in Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio, following an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 14, 1941, in Gibbstown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hubert Wilbert and Margaret Virginia (Gibbs) Johnson. She was also preceded by her husband, Ray Allen "Red" Tucker Sr.; sister, Sue (Charles) Searles; granddaughter, Whitney Rae Tucker.

She was the former secretary of the Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, W.Va., with 47 years of faithful service to her community. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #140 New Haven, W.Va. and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #9926, Mason, W.Va. She was a member of the Mason United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending sporting events of her grandchildren. Jane was a former volunteer with the Mason Youth League working in the concession stand.

Survivors include her sons, Ray Allen Tucker Jr. of Graniteville, S.C. and Jerry Wayne Tucker of Hartford; daughter, Kristina (Jon) Clark of Mason; brother, Hubert W. "Buck" Johnson Jr. and his wife Faye of West Columbia; sisters, Patricia Williams of Harrisonville, Ohio and Faye (David) Williams of Mason; grandchildren, Trevor, Cameron, Taley, Jeremy, Brice and Kristopher; four great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, W.Va., with Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Letart, W.Va. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
