POINT PLEASANT — William "Bill" Jordan, 76, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Hospital's emergency room.
Bill was born May 24, 1938, in Buffalo, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and returned home to work. He later retired from Kaiser Aluminum as a crane operator.
Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Vonda (Plants) Jordan; and brothers John W. Jordan, Robert Jordan and Francis Jordan.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Baker) Jordan; two sons, Todd (Kris) Jordan, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Tom (Robin) Jordan, of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Emily, Katie and Anna Jordan; two sisters, Nancy Jordan, of Mason, and Linda Rectenwald, of Manning, S.C.; and one brother, Mike Jordan, of Big Bend, W.Va.
Bill loved his family and enjoyed attending both Harvey Chapel as well as Longview churches. When not with family and friends, you could always find Bill with a line in the water, doing what he loved.
Visitation for Bill will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, officiated by the Rev. Dwight Baker. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
