Walter William Donahue

CHILLICOTHE — Walter William Donahue, 83, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. He was a member of Maple Grove Christian Union Church in Chillicothe, a 36-year employee of Kaiser Aluminum and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Born May 24, 1931, in Ambrosia, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jesse M. and Emma L. (Wilson) Donahue. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn (VanMeter) Donahue; two brothers, Jesse J. and John C. Donahue, of Point Pleasant; two infant brothers; and four sisters, Opal Escue, Garnette Donahue, Gretchen Connolly and Adda Baker, all of Point Pleasant.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Skaggs Donahue; two sons James Robert (Bob) and Anita Donahue, of Point Pleasant, and Todd William and Linda Donahue, of Gallipolis; daughter Brenda Redeagle, of Alexandria, Ind.; two stepsons, Stand and Mary Skaggs, of Chillicothe, and Ben (Lisa) Skaggs, of Springburrow, Ohio; six grandchildren, Shawn Donahue, Cameron Nott, Kathryn Nott Lisby, Cameron Skaggs and Jessica Donahue; five stepgrandchildren, Jason Skaggs, Andrea Whitter, Kyle Skaggs, Cameron Skaggs and Kelsey Mygatt; and several great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Walter's wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will be held privately in Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Condolences may be offered to his family via Crow-Hussell Funeral Home at www.crowhussellfh.com.
