Martin Carson

DAYTON — Martin Robert Carson, 86, died April 17, 2014 at Lakeside Manor Hospice at the V.A. Dayton Medical Center after a three-year illness. He was born March 26, 1928, in Middleport to Guy and Mildred Carson and lived in Richmond, Ind., for the past 25 years.
He retired as an engineer working at the Kennedy Space Center; Martin Marietta Orlando Aerospace; Boeing and as a professor at Ivy Tech. He was a veteran of both the Navy and Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; children Pam (Ron) Farver, Shari (Rob) Green, Kyle Carson and Karen (Gene) Jackson; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Jay) Hatfield, Brandon Barnes, Jeff (Angela) Watts, Steve (Kayla) Watts, Brent (Ira) Watts, Julia Jackson and Ethan Jackson; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Riverview Cemetary in Middleport.
