TROY, Ohio — Eva M. Wagonrod, 92, of Troy, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Vinton, Ohio, on Jan. 18, 1922, to the late James F. and Myrtle (Stone) Jacobs. Eva married William E. Wagonrod on March 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2002.
Eva is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Eve and William Simms, of Cincinnati, Treva and Robert Alexander, of Georgetown, Ky., and Billie Sue and Ernest Schaefer, of Troy; three sisters, Elma Hart, of Winter Haven, Fla., Peggy Jacobs, of Mansfield, Ohio, and Mary Jayne (Jim) Duerk, of Naples, Fla.; one brother, John (Marie) Jacobs, of Canada, Ky.; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Mark) Flinn-Dickey, of Oak Grove, Ky.; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Doseck; one great-grandson, Braden Anderson; two great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by two grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; and one step-grandchild.
Eva was a graduate of Vinton High School. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy and the Troy Grandmother's Club No. 369.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. William Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
