GALLIPOLIS — Jeffrey T. Hill, born Sept. 2, 1956, in Point Pleasant, W.Va., to Wanda Halley and Ruben Hill, went home to be with loved ones on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
Jeff made his requests known to me and God has blessed him, letting them be fulfilled, but this is the hardest, I do believe, for me to do. We talked of how we wanted this to read, so no one is forgotten or offended.
So, to keep our tease between us, it's all about you, Jeff Hill, and this time, it truly is.
Jeff Hill was only 57 years old. He was a son, husband, father, brother, granddad, uncle and close friend. He enjoyed many things — fishing, hunting, music, singing, dancing, golfing and spending time doing this with family and friends. Jeff coached baseball, gymnastics and tumbling. He worked in telephone installation and, later in life, became a telephone systems installation technician, supervisor and coordinator. Also a skillful carpenter, he excelled at whatever he set his mind to.
He is proceeded in death by grandparents; mother; father and mother-in-law; two brothers-in-law; aunts and uncles; great-nieces and nephew; and grandchild — a wonderful welcoming party.
Those left behind are wife Delsa Hill; children Angela Gordon (David Maggard), Dakota Hill (Brittany Warren), Dusti Hill, Eric (Jennifer) Steinbeck; and grandchildren Colton Hill, Paige Hill, Logan Maggard and a little one on the way, Kyler Steinbeck.
Now this is the hard part, not to offend or hurt anyone. There are brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephew, and aunts, and very close friends.
He wanted all of you to know he thought and spoke of you in his last weeks, and he loves you all dearly.
Memorial service will be held from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at River City Fellowship.
