GALLIPOLIS — Pauline Boster Bartels, 89, of Gallipolis, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014 at Holzer Senior Care Center.
She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Gallipolis, the daughter of the late James Delbert and Mary E. Boster. Pauline was married to Emery D. Bartels and he preceded her in death. She graduated from Marietta Nursing School and was a retired registered nurse. She was a former charge nurse at a nursing home in Chesterfield, Ohio.
Surviving are her daughter Patty Snyder, of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Hollie Bartel Brumfield (Steve Wamsley), of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and David Snyder, of Shelby, Ohio; six great-grandchildren, Kayla Brumfield, Tyler Wamsley, Rilie Wamsley, and Leslie, Hannah and Denver Burks; one great-great-grandson, Ryder McCormick.
Pauline enjoyed her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Emery D. Bartels; son Phil W. Bartel; one son in infancy, Emery Thomas Bartels; two brothers, Eugene Boster and Charles Thomas Boster; brother in infancy, Morris Delbert Boster; and sister Mildred Williams.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Willis Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral.
