NEW HAVEN, W.Va. — William Robert Lovins, 69, of New Haven, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2014, at his residence in New Haven.
He was a retired coal miner from Southern Ohio Coal Mine No. 2. He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille; father Benny Lovins; and sister Margaret Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lovins; daughter Candace and her husband, Adam Grimm; two grandchildren, Tabitha and Brittany Grimm; three brothers, Jack Lovins, of Nebraska, Mark (Debbie) Lovins, of Greenup, Ky., and Jim (Vicky) Lovins, of Greenup; eight sisters, Mae Murphy, of Beckley, W.Va., Chris (Bob) Rancourt, of Middletown, Conn., Jenny Lovins, also of Middletown, Linda (Danny) Meade, of Kermit, Brenda Norwood, of Arizona, Irma Riffle, of New Haven, Lucy (Larry), of Pacyna, N.Y., and Darlene (Albert) Goble, of Naugatuck; and several neices and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at New Haven Church of God. A special thanks to Dr. Danny Westmoreland for all his years of care of both Robert and family.
