SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. — John Gary Miller, 34, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at the Halifax Medical Center in Florida. The Columbus, Ohio, native was born July 20, 1979, the son of Marvin Miller of Gallia County, Ohio, and Margaret Stanley Avery of Ironton. He is also survived by his wife, Nealia Allen Miller of South Daytona, Fla.
John attended Gallia County Schools and was a self-employed carpenter. He loved being outdoors and listening to country and Bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Amzel Geneva and Charles Thomas Miller; maternal grandparents, Jemima Job and Vernon Edsel Stanley; a sister, Amzel Darby; two uncles, Ralph Allen Stanley and Vonley Clyde Stanley; his step father, Gene Avery.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a son, Johnathan Gary Miller of South Daytona, Fla.; two daughters, Aslyn Marie Miller and Anna Mae Miller both of South Daytona, Fla.; five brothers, Jeffrey Allen Miller of Racine, Ohio, Nathaniel Gray Wolf of Waterloo, Ohio, Vernon Edsel Miller of Daytona Beach, Fla., William Todd Miller of Ironton, and Charles Edward Bundy, III of Ashland, Ky.; a sister, Rebecca Victoria Johnson of Ironton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio, with Rev. Terry Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
