Esther Daileda, 99, of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor.
Born in Duryea, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Lena Orloski Kovalan. She attended Duryea schools. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, who passed away on Feb. 26, 1977; brothers, Herman, Arthur, August and Joseph; and sisters, Martha Hazenski, Gertrude Nardone, Della McCormick, Catherine Matt, Josephine Sapolis and Lena Davis.
She is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea, with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
