Born Nov. 10, 1956 in Susquehanna, Pa., he was the son of Mrs. Dorothy L. (Wayman) Hine Tyler of Susquehanna and the late Clifton B. Hine.

Educated in the Susquehanna County schools, Ron was a graduate of the Blue Ridge High School, New Milford, Class of 1975.
