Kenneth Lee Huey, 49, of Beardstown died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born April 9, 1964, in Jacksonville, the son of Tim and Janette Davis Huey.
He is survived by his mother, Janette (husband, Don) Howell of Arenzville; his children, Randi Huey of Arenzville and Cole Huey of Beardstown; one sister, Leigh Ann (husband, Jason) Warner of Collinsville; one brother, David "Hondo" Huey of Arenzville; three nieces, Cassie and Addie Huey and Emerson Warner; and one nephew, Cache Warner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Huey.
Kenny graduated from Triopia High School in the Class of 1982. He previously served on the Arenzville Fire Department and was currently serving on the Beardstown Fire Department. He also was a millrite/precision welder. Kenny was a member of First United Methodist Church; Cass Lodge #23 A.F.&A.M.; BPO Elks Lodge
#1007, where he was a past exalted ruler; and Beardstown Tiger Athletic Club (TAC). He was an avid fan of Beardstown Tiger Nation Football and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved Casey the dog, riding Harleys, being on the river and tinkering with stuff.
The family will meet with friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Masonic Rites will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, after the visitation. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday December 8, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Beardstown. There will be no burial.
