Jon Fulkerson Obituary

Jon William Fulkerson, 66, of White Hall, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
Born Nov. 7, 1944, in Alton, he was the son of the late William O. and Ruth Shafer Fulkerson. He married the former Judith Pinkerton Mathews in July of 1978 in White Hall and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Barbara (Roger) Grant of White Hall, Sandra Knight of San Antonio, Frances Seymoure of Springfield; a son, Michael (Liz) Mathews of White Hall; grandchildren, Amber Mathews, Brittany (Phillip) McKinnon, Jennifer Kimbro, Elizabeth Gray, John Gray, Misty Cecil, Ian Cecil, Eddie Cecil, Jordyn Sharrow, Kayden Mathews, Codey Mathews, Trever Mathews; and a great-granddaughter, Maddison Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jon was a member of the Odd Fellows, and enjoyed fishing and camping with his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as an accountant for C. Bolts Construction Co. in Granite City and Weiss Distributing. He later went to work at EMI in Jacksonville, retiring in 2004.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall. Following the 1 p.m. services, burial will be at Belltown Cemetery in Belltown. Memorials may be made to Belltown Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.airsman-hires.com.
