Edgar Hish Obituary
He was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Ord, Neb., the son of William J. and Ellen Nelson Hish. He married Evelyn Clement on March 31, 1945, in Beardstown, and she survives.
He is also survived by four children, Shirley Bell (husband, Ronnie), MaLinda Daniel (husband, Robert), Gary Hish (wife, Diane) and Evelyn "Kathy" Trenter (husband, Robert), all of Virginia; five grandsons; five granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Milton Hish (wife, Rose) of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Masten; a sister, Donna Bird; and three brothers, Everett, Dale and Jack Hish.
Mr. Hish served with the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in Germany. He was a life-long farmer in Cass County.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia, with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. At his request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to Virginia United Methodist Church or V-A-C Emergency Medical Technicians. Condolences may be left online at www.buchanancody.com.

To Evelyn, Shirley, MaLinda, Gary & Kathy and families, Our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband & father. I remember fondly coming to Virginia to see you all & how hospitable & kind & welcoming Edgar & Evelyn were to us on our visits. I immediatly felt like "one" of the family with all of you. He has left a fabulous legacy in Evelyn & his family. Hugs & Prayers to you all.
