Ella Louise Jachino, 85, of Jacksonville, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Jacksonville.
She was born Oct. 31, 1927 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of the late Herbert and Linda Burton Winchester. She married Julio "Porky" Jachino on Oct. 29, 1949, in Jacksonville, and he survives.
Also surviving is one son, Bert (Jennifer) Jachino of Petersburg; one grandson, Corey Jachino of Chatham; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lillian (Junior) Henry, Mildred (Glenn) Baptist and Betty (Edward) McGee; and two brothers, Joseph (Josephine) Winchester and Harold (Becky) Winchester.
Mrs. Jachino retired after 20 years at the Illinois School for the Deaf. She was a member of the Jacksonville Bowling Association Hall of Fame and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for 50 years. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.
