Lester H. "Les" Feddeler, 80, of Streator, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at his home.

A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the Elias Funeral Home in Streator, with an Elks ritual at 6:45 p.m.
Funeral services for Les Feddeler will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Streator. Pallbearers will be members of his family and friends. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services.
Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Chicago, he was the son of Harold and Mildred (Barr) Feddeler. He married Judith (Gaisford) Kates on May 20, 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of Streator; children, Alison (Chris) Yording of Jacksonville and David Feddeler of Bloomingdale; stepdaughter, Susan (Tom) Grigas of Leola, Pa.; grandchildren, Colin, Erica and Quinn Yording and Tessa Feddeler; and stepgrandchildren, Chris, William and Alex Grigas. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Randy Kates of McHenry; and brother, Gerald Feddeler of Spring Valley.
Les graduated from Chicago Vocational School in 1950 and Roosevelt University in 1971. He was a design engineer for two years at Knoedler Mfg. in Chicago then worked until his retirement in 1988, at Freedman Seating in Evanston. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator, a St. Mary's Hospital Volunteer, was a member of the Arlington Heights Elks Lodge 2048 where he was a PER, he was also a PDDGER in 1985, transferred to the Streator Elks Lodge 591 where he would gladly serve in any position that was open.
